Lens Repair & Optical Service
Focused attention for precision optics and complex lens mechanisms.
What we can discuss
Look at the optics and the mechanics.
Lens service starts with the exact lens, its mount and how the problem presents itself. Focus, aperture and alignment-related concerns can be discussed alongside visible haze or fungus; the appropriate work depends on inspection and condition.
The original Trescam lens page described factory-standard adjustment tools and projection testing. Confirm current equipment and supported repairs with Leon.
Focus and aperture
Describe manual-focus or autofocus issues, aperture problems, stiffness or inconsistent operation. Include the lens model, mount and camera body.
Optical evaluation
Discuss haze, fungus and alignment-related concerns. Cleaning and adjustment depend on inspection, access and the condition of the optical surfaces.
Mechanical assessment
Barrel damage, filter-ring damage and other mechanical concerns can be reviewed. The available repair approach depends on the specific lens and parts.
Before you get in touch
Describe what you see and what you feel.
Tell Leon whether the concern involves manual focus, autofocus, the aperture, physical damage or image quality. Include the lens model and the camera used with it. Describe any stiffness, unusual movement or inconsistent behavior without trying to force a mechanism.
If haze, fungus or alignment is a concern, describe what you have observed and whether it appears in photographs. Cleaning or adjustment options must be assessed individually; inspection is needed to discuss optical surface condition and what improvement may be possible.
